So a 430w window ac plugged into a typical wall outlet would be: 430w divided by 110v = ~3.9 amps. Typical American electrical outlets are 110v, and the goofy shaped dryer/stove type outlets are 220v. To figure out how many amps your equipment requires, divide the wattage by the voltage. So if you have 15 amp circuits, you should plan on staying below 12.5 amps per circuit. 🙂įirst, for safety you should never go above 85% capacity on a circuit.
